Get Started Program
Starting a group exercise program is a great way to improve your physical and mental health in a friendly environment. Regular exercise reduces stress and anxiety, improves mood, strengthens the heart and lungs, and helps maintain a healthy weight. Exercise also improves balance and coordination and helps prevent diabetes, heart disease and other chronic health conditions.
Improvements in sleep, mood and energy levels are also a great benefit to regular exercise. Exercising in groups is a great way to engage in the community and build connection with your peers. At Coordinated Fitness our Exercise Physiologists love working in our groups throughout the week to help build your strength, fitness, flexibility and health. If you want to Get Started with exercise and are new to our clinic, you may be eligible for our Get Started Program.
What is the Get Started Program?
Coordinated Fitness Get Started Program is for new clients and is available after your initial consultation.
Initial Consultation is 60 mins – $167.00 (Item no. 102 for Health Funds)
This program aims to increase physical activity levels in older adults by providing affordable group exercise classes under the supervision of Exercise Physiologists.
We offer gym based group sessions in our clinic at Greenslopes, as well as hydrotherapy sessions at the Mt Gravatt East Pool. Our Exercise Physiologists will prescribe you with an individualised program to improve your strength, balance, coordination, and fitness in a fun and safe environment. You will also meet and socialise with like-minded people within our group sessions. Our clinic is focused on providing an environment where the older population can exercise in a safe, non-threatening environment. We are not your “normal” gym, we are a health clinic, and everyone is welcome.
Who’s the Get Started program for?
We are an Exercise Physiology clinic that likes to help our over 60’s start an exercise program or join a exercise class. The program is not limited to people over 60 years of age, but a number of our participants are over 60. We build the right program for you and your needs.
We offer group sessions at a range of times throughout the week. Please view our timetable for session times.
