Supervised Exercise to Support Blood Glucose Management and Long-Term Health
The Type 2 Diabetes Exercise Program at Coordinated Fitness is a structured, evidence-based program designed to support people living with Type 2 diabetes to improve blood glucose management, strength, fitness, and confidence with exercise. The program includes an individual assessment, followed by 8 fully supervised group exercise sessions, and a final review with feedback provided to your GP.
All sessions are delivered by Accredited Exercise Physiologists and attract a Medicare rebate.

What Is the Type 2 Diabetes Exercise Program?
This program uses clinically prescribed exercise to help manage Type 2 diabetes safely and effectively. Exercise plays an important role in improving insulin sensitivity, supporting blood glucose control, and reducing the risk of diabetes-related complications.
The program provides:
- Individual assessment and goal setting
- Structured, supervised group exercise
- Ongoing monitoring and progression
- Review and reporting back to your GP
Exercise is tailored to each individual within the group setting to ensure safety and effectiveness.
